Toxicorama

A group of residents is investigating a case of pollution that has long gone unnoticed in the heart of Lausanne. Together with Louis Schild and scientists from the University of Lausanne (Unil), the group traces the dioxins released for decades by the former Vallon incineration plant. How have these pollutants left their mark on the soil, daily life, and the neighborhood’s collective memory? Toxicorama invites the public to enter an acousmonium—an orchestra of loudspeakers— and immerse themselves in a soundscape and textual landscape of pollution, crafted from the stories and recordings collected. 

On Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July, the play will be followed by Toxic Tours, eco-friendly walking tours.
