Puff explores disguise as a means of giving voice to silenced cultures: concealing gestures, knowledge, and memories in order to better transmit them. Between illusion and apparition, something hides, then vanishes as if by magic—a breath, a “puff” in Portuguese. This solo continues the collaboration between Alice Ripoll and Hiltinho Fantástico, an extraordinary dancer with the companies SUAVE and REC. Together, they invent a hybrid language blending contemporary dance and Brazilian urban forms. A fascinating journey between the visible and the invisible.
