In 2023, near Charleroi, 9-year-old Mathis is the victim of racist insults. The school calls the police: his mother, Rita, finds her son pinned to the ground. Drawing on this act of racist violence, author and director Laurène Marx and the actress, author, and director Bwanga Pilipili choose to tell this story through the journey of Rita, the mother, a Cameroonian businesswoman who became a housekeeper. Together, they explore perceptions, projections, and systemic racism. A powerful and necessary performance, where the personal reveals the political.
